Follow the brown signs

Farmoor Reservoir lies in an old river channel which once cut the gap which leads east towards Botley and Oxford. To the north and south is higher ground of Corallian limestone which was laid down on the Jurassic sea-bed 160 million years ago and to the west the low vale of the River Thames where it flows over soft Oxford Clay. The safe but spacious waters of Farmoor reservoir cater for all abilities of sailor – from beginners in Optimists and Toppers to speed freaks in 49ERs and RS600’s.
