Once described as a “Splendid Palace” built by a smuggler, Gunsgreen House stands proud overlooking the picturesque fishing town of Eyemouth in the Scottish Borders. This is a place to visit, a place to stay and a place to celebrate. Gunsgreen House is a historic house like no other, built in 1753 by notorious ‘merchant’ (read- smuggler!) John Nisbet, the architecture included a number of secret hiding places where Nisbet houses his smuggled goods. Gunsgreen is fast becoming a best loved visitor attraction, great fun and fascinating for all the family.
