Follow the brown signs
A delightful little place to spend a few hours exploring, surrounded by beautiful scenery. The first room you go into is set up for the kiddies (brilliant for our daughter who has a new obsession with all things pirates). You can be a sailor in the wooden boat, send morse code signals and dress up as a pirate or princess. Next is a journey back in time to how the lighthouse keeper’s cottage may have looked in Victorian times – complete with a living area, bedrooms and a scullery to have a go at washday! Then up the 76 steps to the top, where a guide can tell you anything you want to know about the lighthouse and its past. The staff were really helpful and informative and obviously have a real passion for this place – and to be honest you can see why. Brilliant!
