A striking hilltop church
This 14th-century hilltop church with its square tower stands boldly above a narrow valley south of Beccles.
The pulpit has the names of 19th-century laborours carved into its base and also interesting are the 15th-century font, a great collection of brasses and the restored cambered tie-beam timber roof with braces.
The original south porch was added in 1602. Butterfield restored the church in 1882 and was responsible for the east window and reredos.
