A (formerly) council-run country Jacobean mansion in the middle of Aston, of all places. You don’t expect to see a country pile like this in the middle of otherwise modern and industrial Aston, and it feels like a strange discovery when you chance upon it. Also right next door to Aston Villa football ground – I’m convinced the names are related.
