Follow the brown signs
Cairngorms National Park
Entrance is FREE!
The biggest national park in the UK. Centred around the Cairngorm mountain range, which includes five of the six highest mountains in the UK – making it excellent for hillwalkers and Munro-baggers. It stretches from Aviemore to Tomintoul to Royal Deeside and down to the Angus Glens. In the winter (if we’re lucky) the hills are covered in several feet of snow and you can enjoy skiing at one of the three ski areas within the park boundaries. But there are so many more attractions to visit.
The national park even has its own special brown sign – a symbol of an osprey carrying a fish.
