This is a unique large Georgian watermill, built in 1812 to help feed troops garrisoned in Dover against the threat of Napoleon. This is the only mill that is left from that time that is still a working watermill and it still produces stone ground flour using original equipment. The mill is available for private hire and is also available for corporate meetings and training events. There are also regular fund raising and community events held at the mill. The mill is owned and operated by The Crabble Corn Mill Trust (Reg Charity No : 297098) and is kept open by a small band of volunteers.
