Follow the brown signs
I stumbled upon this absolutely amazing garden when I spotted the brown sign as I was going into Butterfly World nearby. The blooms, varieties, colours and smells absolutely blew my mind. The beautiful five-acre Rose garden has upwards of 15,000 individual roses and more than 5000 varieties set in the Hertfordshire countryside. It is also the headquarters of the Royal National Rose society, founded in 1876. The display gardens and International Trial grounds were established in the late 1960’s after the society moved from its original offices in Westminster, London and can be visitied by appointment only. Understandably the gardens are only open to public visitors from June to July every year so put it in your diary to go, it’s stunning.
