Follow the brown signs

Our Museum tells the story of the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads, the people, the traditions, the crafts, the jobs and the boats that sailed and traded the waters. It is the only Museum telling the Broads story. We occupy four buildings, dating back to 1822, beside the historic Stalham Staithe  where wherries traded for over 150 years.

The Museum, a Charitable Trust, has over 5000 exhibits including a beautiful restored working Victorian steam launch’ Falcon’. Our 65 dedicated volunteers keep Broads history alive and run the Museum. Without the Museum the Broads history would be lost forever.
