SS Great Britain is a museum ship and former passenger steamship. Very advanced for her time she was designed and built by Ismbard Kingdom Brunel and was the longest passenger ship in the world from 1845 to 1854. After an adventurous life serving in 2 world wars and transporter of emigrants to the new world she was finally abandoned in the Falklands for 30 years. After a careful rescue effort in the 19070s she was brought back to the city where she was born. Now restored into an atmospheric museum the ss Great Britain is a truly inspiring ship to go aboard.
