Follow the brown signs

Established in the 20th century, this stunning natural landscape houses more than 1,000 different shrubs and trees, many of them rare. There is year-round colour, with the most impressive displays being in spring, when the magnolias, bluebells and azaleas flower, and autumn, when the colour of the foliage is stunning. In summer this tranquil place is ideal for the family to explore and picnic. Note: steep slopes and banks of lake and wetlands are only partially fenced.
