A charming church on the bank of the Thames
This charming little flint church, close to the east bank of the Thames, can be reached by The Ridgeway Path from Wallingford Bridge, which leads on to Mongewell, another Trust church.
Built in the 12th- and 13th- centuries, its Norman origins can be seen in the north doorway and chancel arch. Limewashed walls set off the delicate stained glass.
Restoration in 1849 removed much else but left some handsome woodwork, including the Medieval roofs and a Jacobean pulpit and communion table.
