A group of enthusiasts have recreated part of the Mid-Suffolk Light Railway which ran for about 50 years from Haughley to Laxfield. It served the local community carting various goods from coal to bombs. Steam trains run from Easter to the end of September. In December there are a number of ‘Santa Specials’ when trains run to ‘North Pole Halt’. Check out their website www.mslr.org.uk .
